Or perhaps your treatment may not be covered by your health insurance or you’re fed up waiting for the treatment you need? Our medical and dental loans will allow you quick access to private medical or dental care so you don’t have to stress or suffer anymore on long waiting lists.
You can now get a flexible loan from Blackrock Credit Union for a wide variety of medical and dental treatments including the following:
- Orthopaedic surgery including Hip, Knee and Shoulder replacements
- Optical treatment including Laser Eye Surgery and Cataracts
- Maternity fees
- Fertility treatment expenses
- Oncology treatments
- Dental procedures including Braces, Implants, Veneers, Orthodontics and Teeth Whitening

Taking out a medical or dental loan can provide a low-cost alternative to running up a high interest credit card balance. At Blackrock Credit Union we offer medical and dental loans up to €40,000 at 8.2% (8.49% APR).
Don’t forget you may also be eligible to claim tax relief on the cost of certain health expenses. These can be the health expenses of any individual as long as you paid for them and you are a taxpayer. You will normally be granted tax relief at the standard rate of tax of 20%.
